Welcome to Module 10! All the data you diligently enter into FastFund Raising is organized and summarized in easy-to-read and informative reports. FastFund’s financial reporting capability is designed to report from the highest fund level all the way down to each individual gift.
These reports provide the critical insights needed to measure the results of your appeals and campaigns, detail each donor’s giving history, and maintain standard accounting-style journals for all your transactions. In this lesson, we will cover how to access reports, set report parameters, and utilize FastFund’s dynamic viewing features.
To access the reporting dashboard, simply select Reports from the Main Menu.
The reports are organized into specific categories on the Vertical Menu, including:
Tip: If you are ever unsure which report to run, hover your mouse over the Question Mark icon to the left of the report name. A brief hint will appear providing a description of the report’s purpose.
Before generating a report, you must define its parameters so the system knows exactly what data to pull.
When selecting your report parameters, you will frequently be asked to choose between two reporting formats:
FastFund provides flexible output options for your reports, depending on how you need to use the data.
HTML Format (Drill-Down Capability) If you choose to generate a report in the default HTML format, FastFund provides an interactive viewing experience with drill-down capability. In the HTML report, the transaction type, reference field, and constituent name will appear in blue text. Clicking these blue links will instantly open a new browser window, allowing you to drill down directly into the original source transaction or the constituent’s profile record.
Export Formats If you need to print the report or share it outside of FastFund, you can use the icons at the top of the report window to export the data into various formats:
