Practice attributing a donation to a third party by completing these 3 steps in your FastFund environment:
- Initiate a Transaction: Navigate to Transactions > Donations/Receipts. Select a primary Donor and enter a mock donation amount of $500.
- Access Soft Credits: Look just above the Gift distribution grid at the bottom of the screen and click the Soft Credits link.
- Assign the Credit: Click New +. Select a Constituent to receive the soft credit. Enter an amount of $500 (remember, it cannot exceed the original gift). Check the Print box, then click Cancel to discard the practice entry.
