- Review Default Pay Types: Log into FastFund, navigate to Lists > Pay Types. Review the default list of pay types provided by the system. Note which ones are classified as Hourly/Salary versus Piece/Quantity.
- Draft a Custom Pay Type: Click the New + icon. Create a test pay type named “Holiday Bonus.” Set the classification to Piece/Quantity since a bonus is typically paid as a flat amount rather than an hourly wage.
- Explore Tax Exemptions: Look at the Tax Exemptions grid at the bottom of the screen. Practice clicking the master Exempt checkbox at the top of the column to see how it instantly selects or deselects all taxes. Click Cancel to exit without saving your test profile.
