Objective: Create a secure role for an external auditor who needs view-only access.
1. Create a “Read-Only” Group: Go to Administration > User Groups and click New (+). Name the group “External Auditors.” In the permissions list, select only Reports and move it to the Assigned Permissions column. Click Save,.
2. Add a New User: Go to Administration > Users and click New (+). Enter a dummy name (e.g., “Audit User”) and email. Enter a valid password (e.g., Audit2023!). Click Save,.
3. Assign the Group: In the user details window, locate the Groups & Permissions tab. Select “External Auditors” from the Available Groups dropdown and click the Right Pointing Arrow (> ) to assign it. Ensure the Administrator checkbox is unchecked. Click Save
