Module 1 – Overview

Module 1: FastFund Orientation provides the foundational knowledge required to navigate and operate the FastFund Online software. FastFund is a cloud-based (SaaS) system designed to seamlessly integrate a nonprofit organization’s fiscal, development, and payroll responsibilities into one centralized platform. The orientation introduces the system’s responsive user interface, which automatically adjusts to fit desktop computers, tablets, and cell phones, while ensuring all financial activities comply with strict FASB-116 and FASB-117 accounting standards.

To maintain optimal performance and security, the system requires a stable network connection and the installation of Adobe Reader for viewing generated PDF reports and receipts. Security and data isolation are heavily prioritized; each organization accesses FastFund through a unique URL database, and authorized users must log in using strict password protocols. The module also covers simple recovery procedures for forgotten passwords and locked accounts.

Finally, users learn how to efficiently interact with the system’s layout and tools. All navigation begins at the Dashboard, which houses the Status Bar, Main Menu, and a module drop-down that allows users with the proper permissions to effortlessly switch between the Accounting, Fund Raising, and Payroll workspaces. The interface utilizes consistent conventions to streamline data entry, such as standard action icons (like the “New +” or red “Delete” buttons), required field indicators (red asterisks), and interactive “drill-down” capabilities that allow users to click directly into a source transaction from a list or register.
